Rufus joined Pike in 1992 and brings his years of construction expertise and a passion for construction excellence. As Chief Executive Officer, he concentrates on directing high-level strategic initiatives while enhancing client relations to provide world-class service to our customers. Committed to strengthening operations, Rufus works to develop solutions that enhance and satisfy our clients’ distinct business objectives.
Rufus is a well-rounded professional dedicated to the continuous improvement of project management and service. Recognizing service as an integral component of business and community Rufus is active in civic, industry and philanthropic initiatives.
Rufus attended Union College and holds a Master of Business Administration from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester.

As President of Pike, Bill drives the company’s strategic planning and integrates leadership, management, and accountability. He directs the day-to-day operations of the company, formulating plans and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives, ensuring profitable growth, and fulfilling the company’s commitment to customers and the community.
Bill comes from a family of construction, both his grandfather and uncle worked in the business for decades. Bill started his career with Pike in 2001 and has held multiple leadership roles in his tenure. He exemplifies our core values and continues to be a mentor and leader to employees throughout our Enterprise.
Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.

As Chief Operating Officer, Mauricio drives client satisfaction, builds construction leaders, and runs all operations across our enterprise. Mauricio is committed to raising the bar of operational excellence by streamlining efficiencies, standardizing best practices, challenging construction projects to adhere to the highest safety and quality standards. He has been an integral part of our enterprise for many years, remaining committed to excellence and inspiring those around him.
Mauricio holds a Masters of Economic Law from La Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar and a Law Degree from La Universidad Catolica Boliviana.

Thomas F. Judson, Jr. began his career in construction working as a laborer and carpenter apprentice during school summer breaks for John B. Pike & Son, Inc., a general contracting company founded by his great-grandfather in 1873. Having worked his way through the ranks, Tom became President of the company in 1975. In 1985, he established Pike, one of New York State’s most respected and successful construction firms. He currently serves as the Chairman of Pike.
Throughout his career, Tom has remained committed to the community. In recognition of his business achievements and his contributions to the community, Tom was honored with the 2000 Civic Award for Commerce and Industry from the Greater Rochester Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Rochester Business Journal’s inaugural Fifty Over 50 award in 2003, and was inducted into the Rochester Business Hall of Fame in 2009. In 2020, Tom received the Rochester Business Journals Icon Honors award for his strong leadership and significant professional accomplishments. Tom received with Bachelor of Science from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.

As Vice President - Marketing, Heather oversees all aspects of Pike’s marketing and communications. Heather began her career in marketing in 2000 and joined Pike in 2004 and is responsible for market research/analysis, employee communications, client development systems, proposal/interview development, and all marketing communications.
Heather is active in the Society for Marketing Professional Services, American Marketing Association and Public Relations Society of America.

As Executive Vice President, Ed leads the business development, preconstruction and estimating, and construction technologies departments for Pike. Ed started his career in construction in 1990 and since joining Pike in 1999, Ed has been an integral part of the growth of the company’s preconstruction department while positioning himself as a valuable client resource as a leader in preconstruction, estimating and the utilization of cutting-edge construction technologies. He excels at understanding clients’ needs and ensuring projects are set up for success.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

As Vice President – Human Resources, Amber provides overall leadership of Pike’s Human Resources group including strategic recruiting, administration of staffing, professional development, career pathing, and employee engagement. Amber began her career in human resources in 2005 and has been involved with the strategic development of innovative HR initiatives to streamline processes and capitalize on organizational growth opportunities.
Amber holds a Bachelor of Communication Arts and Sciences from Pennsylvania State University as well as a Professional Human Resources certification.

As Chief Financial Officer, Mike oversees all financial operations of the company. He is responsible for managing the Project Accounting, Payroll, Safety, Risk Management, IT, and ERP Shared Services departments. Mike has been with the company since 2013 and was named Chief Financial Officer in 2021.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Farleigh-Dickinson College, an Executive MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and is a Certified Public Accountant.

As Executive Vice President, Larry is responsible for achieving client satisfaction and succeeding in building long-term relationships. Larry began his career in construction in 1989 and successfully managed a diverse portfolio of projects throughout his tenure, focusing on special projects for Pike. Larry also oversees Pike’s self-perform divisions, including sitework and concrete construction projects, where he works closely with owners, design teams and trade partners to deliver a high quality project while meeting complex schedules and budgets.

As Executive Vice President, Terry provides leadership and guidance for project teams across all market segments, focusing on the Western New York region. Terry has played an integral role in the successful completion of a variety of large-scale construction projects since joining Pike in 2012. With over four decades of construction experience, Terry brings a depth of experience and knowledge in both the private and public sectors. He shows extraordinary engagement in his projects, building trust and rapport, and taking complete ownership of our client's success.

Bill started in the construction industry in 1969 in his family business, the Gaetano Construction Corp. As Executive Vice President at Pike, Bill managed construction projects throughout the Central New York region. There are a number of industries which Bill focuses on including healthcare, educational and institutional, retail, commercial, manufacturing and warehousing, along with multi-unit and residential projects.

As Executive Vice President, Michael provides executive oversight across a diverse portfolio of projects for Pike, focusing on the Capital District and Eastern New York State. He is responsible for managing client, employee and subcontractor relationships, as well as overseeing daily operations and ensuring we successfully meet our clients need and expectations. He began his career in construction in 1989 as a Project Superintendent and has held various leadership roles within the industry.
Michael has an extensive track record of working with office, retail, commercial, warehouse, manufacturing and technology, healthcare, co-generation plants, water and wastewater treatment plants, geothermal systems, multi-family housing, assisted living, and educational facilities. His knowledge and expertise are highly valued and integral to the success of Pike and the project he oversees.

As President of Pike Residential, Ken directs the day-to-day operations of the Pike Residential division, formulating plans and policies to achieve objectives, ensuring profitable growth and fulfilling the company’s commitment to the community. Since joining the company in 1990, he has acquired extensive knowledge and the aptitude to identify the critical challenges of complex projects. This experience has provided Ken the insight to creatively enhance project feasibility strategies, specifically in affordable, market-rate and senior housing construction.
Ken received a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University and a BS in Civil Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.

As Executive Vice President, Dennis focuses on business development, estimating & preconstruction, operations, and construction management on our Southeast US projects. He takes ownership and accountability for meeting our customers’ expectations. One of his priorities is to ensure his project teams have the support they need to be successful and that they enjoy the environment in which they work.
Dennis served in the U.S. Navy Seabees as an Engineering Aide and holds a BS in Construction Technology from Purdue University.

Over the course of his career, Shelby has held progressive leadership roles from project specific to executive corporate leadership. Having worked in general contracting as well as ownership organizations, he has been responsible for the successful completion of various types of building projects throughout the continental United States, Caribbean and Pacific regions managing multiple billions in construction. Shelby is a true team leader, with knowledge and experience that ranges from executing and delivering large scale complex projects, establishing operational excellence, and providing organizational leadership.

Aaron Hiller
General Counsel & Vice President of Risk Management – Pike Construction Services
Aaron is responsible for leading the shared service process for the company’s client (owner) contracts, subcontractor/vendor contracts, personal injury claims, and general counsel. He also oversees policies and procedures to ensure compliance and provide guidance on company legal matters. Aaron brings over 20 years of experience to Pike, having held significant roles at esteemed organizations such as Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, Xerox, Earthlink, and most recently, The Bonadio Group, where he served as General Counsel and Secretary.
Beyond his professional achievements, Aaron's commitment to community service is evident through his volunteer work at the Brighton Fire Department since 1993 where he twice served as Fire Chief and his role as a Monroe County Fire Investigator since 2011. He has also been a bagpiper with Gates Keystone Club Police Pipes and Drums since 2014.

She oversees and is involved in detailed development of our critical path schedules for pre-construction and construction phases of our projects as well as regular oversite of project teams’ performance based on outlined company metrics for safety, quality, cost, and project stakeholder relationships. She is currently fostering the development and implementation of the Lean program for project execution.
Janet has a master’s degree in Civil Engineering Project Management from Clemson University- Her senior paper was on the merits and benefits of partnering for success on construction projects.

Vivek has a proven track record of success and a wealth of experience in the technology and consulting industry, he brings a unique blend of strategic vision, technical experience, and leadership acumen. Vivek joined Pike in 2024, with almost 30 years of technology industry experience and now leads our IT and ERP departments. Vivek's extensive professional journey includes his most recent role as a Partner at JC Jones Advisory Services, where he has been instrumental in driving innovative solutions and advising clients on strategic initiatives. Prior to that, he served as a Managing Director of Technology Consulting at Accenture for an impressive 17 years, where he played a pivotal role in shaping IT strategy and leading digital transformation efforts. Vivek's career also includes a period as a Senior Manager in Performance Improvement at E&Y, showcasing his comprehensive understanding of business processes.
Vivek holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Marathwada University in India. He has further enriched his knowledge and skills through various certifications, including the MIT Sloan + CSAIL Artificial Intelligence program, Scale Agile (SAFe) Agilist Certification – V3.0.3, Certified Associated Project Manager – PMI, and Basic of Supply Chain – APICS.
