Pike provided construction management at risk services for Erie County Medical Center’s (ECMC) new 60,000 SF Trauma and Emergency Department. The project doubled the size of the existing 40-year-old facility and features state-of-the-art technology and equipment for the region’s only Level I Adult Trauma Center ECMCC.

The project consisted of the addition of 50 emergency department treatment rooms, 4 trauma rooms, 6 care initiation stations and imaging with CTs and general x-ray. Also included in the expansion are staff offices, conference rooms, training rooms, locker rooms and staff lounges. The walk-in entrance is on the east side of the facility and has a drive under canopy and adjacent 50 car parking. The department also has a 10-bay covered ambulance entrance with gated access. Included within the expansion is the enclosure of the existing building overhang providing access back to the medical center’s main lobby.
