The HCPDC includes multiple cooler zones as well as office and maintenance area. It is constructed of steel framing, corrugated metal decking, insulation, a single-ply membrane on the roof, and insulated metal panels. Interior access is granted via low temperature man doors and rolling doors for equipment. Dock levelers and doors for both shipping and receiving align one side of the building only. The project also included the construction of a truck maintenance garage, fuel island, fire pump house and guardhouse.
