University of Rochester - Genesee Hall
Pike provided design-build services for the University of Rochester’s Genesee Hall, a new student housing facility. The new residence hall is a 7-story structural steel frame building, approximately 73,000 SF with 151 beds.

The lower 2 levels of the building are set in the hillside that are in addition to the 5-story’s above grade. The 5 levels above grade are utilized for the residence hall program which includes single and double units, floor lounges, study lounges, and a main building lounge. The lower two levels are flexible program space for the broader campus community, as well as athletic program space including locker rooms and a hydrotherapy area. Genesee Hall received LEEDTM Silver certification.
