Outer Loop Connection for Interstate 590 in Rochester, NY

1980

John B. Pike & Son builds the Outer Loop Connection for Interstate 590 in Rochester, New York. The project includes 1.4 miles of highway and nine bridges crossing the Genesee River near the Rochester airport. The cast-in-place concrete, post-tensioned double box girder bridges are constructed using the segmental free cantilever method, where traveling forms are used without ground supported falsework. This is one of many bridge projects the company would be involved in over the years.
